How a walk works

The same routine every time, so your dog knows what to expect and you know what happened.

  1. We meet at your home first

A free meet and greet where we get to know your dog, learn the routine, and go over keys, gates, and quirks. No commitment.

  2. Your dog gets a primary walker

The same person nearly every time, so trust builds. A small team stands behind them, so a walk never falls through when someone is sick.

  3. Every walk is a training session

Loose-leash walking, calm greetings, and coming when called, all rewarded with food and praise. No prong collars, no choke chains, no retractable leashes.

  4. You get a report after every visit

Photos, a note on how it went, and anything we noticed about your dog's mood or health, sent when the walk ends.

Why a trainer runs the team

Most dog walking companies hire people who like dogs and hope for the best. We start there too, then train each walker on written protocols for the things that actually go wrong on Staten Island sidewalks: heat, storms, loose dogs, dropped leashes, poisonous plants.

Walkers pass a test on the required protocols before their first solo walk. Then they keep learning from a certified trainer, which is why our walks stay calm and our dogs come home tired in the right way.

Let's prosper together

We give 10 to 20 percent of profits to charities that independent evaluators rank among the most effective in the world. Not the ones with the best mailers. The ones with the best evidence.

We follow the research of GiveWell, Animal Charity Evaluators, and The Life You Can Save. Every donation we make is listed on a public page you can open and check.

$5,000raised for the Against Malaria Foundation through our public fundraiser page, enough for about 2,580 bed nets.
Farmed animalsare where we think a dollar goes furthest. We support The Humane League's work to end the worst practices in animal agriculture.
Profits, not revenueis the honest way to count it. We say so plainly, and we will show the numbers.

Walk dogs with us

We hire people who show up on time and want to get good at something. You'll earn $20 an hour during a paid training month, then $30 or more an hour on a schedule that fits around classes or another job, with hands-on mentorship from a certified trainer.

Bring us your dog

We serve Staten Island, with plans to grow into Manhattan. Not sure if we reach your block? Ask. The meet and greet is free and there's no contract to sign.
