We're hiring dog walkers and pet sitters on Staten Island. Part-time, flexible, and taken seriously.
The offer
- $20 an hour to start, then $30 or more. The first month is paid training. After that, $30 an hour and up.
- A schedule that fits a college calendar. Most walks fall between late morning and early evening. Tell us your availability and we'll build around it.
- Mentorship from a certified trainer. You'll learn to read dogs, handle a leash properly, and use positive reinforcement. These skills transfer.
- A mission you can point to. 10 to 20 percent of profits go to effective charities, listed publicly.
- Room to grow. As we expand there's a path to lead walker and management roles.
What we're looking for
- You show up on time, every time. This is most of the job.
- You want to learn basic dog training and use it.
- You're comfortable outside in heat, cold, and rain, with the sense to stop when our weather rules say so.
- You communicate clearly with clients by text and in person.
- Helpful but not required: you have a dog, or you've worked in pet care or customer service.
How hiring works
Apply online in a few minutes. If it looks like a fit we'll talk, then walk a dog together. We make a conditional offer before running a background check, in line with the New York City Fair Chance Act, and you'll see a copy of anything that comes up.

Shadow walks
You walk alongside an experienced walker and meet the dogs before you're responsible for any of them.
The guide, and a test
Read the required protocols, ask questions, then pass a short test before your first solo walk.
Certifications
Pet CPR and first aid, done online in your first weeks.
Your own route
You become the primary walker for a set of dogs, with a trainer a text away.
