A small company that takes dogs, people, and evidence seriously

David Roberts, CPDT-KA

David founded Proper Pet Care after two years walking dogs full time on Rover, where he learned two things: most dogs are easier than their owners fear, and most dog walking companies run on luck. He earned the CPDT-KA credential from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and built the company around written standards instead.

He lives on Staten Island, gives a fixed share of his own income to effective charities, and would rather tell you what he doesn't know than pretend otherwise.

Say what you knowOur protocols cite their sources and flag where the evidence is thin. We pay attention to corrections and publish them.
